Dubai: Cyber criminals are now exploring the use of drones to intercept and hack into highly secure communication systems, including those used in military operations and critical infrastructure, warned Dr. Samar Ansh, a renowned cybercrime expert associated with the Darkweb Unit of Cyber Security Council, New York.
Dr. Samar Ansh highlighted a growing threat where drones equipped with advanced surveillance and hacking tools can hover near secure sites to eavesdrop or disrupt tactical communication lines without physical access. “This marks a dangerous shift in cyber warfare. Military op tactics and confidential transmissions are no longer safe from airborne cyber-attacks,” he said.
Experts urge national defense and cybersecurity agencies to strengthen aerial surveillance systems and integrate drone-jamming technologies to counter this evolving threat.
Authorities are advised to stay alert and upgrade cybersecurity frameworks to prevent such futuristic attacks.
