Congress, addressed a press conference and raised serious allegations against Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Kheda claimed that the Assam Chief Minister is allegedly linked to undeclared properties abroad, including two flats located in Dubai and assets in Wyoming, United States.

According to Kheda, these alleged foreign holdings are connected to a company valued at approximately ₹52,000 crore. He further stated that details regarding these assets are reportedly available in public records and should be thoroughly examined by investigative agencies. Kheda emphasized that the matter is serious and demands transparency from a constitutional office holder.

During the press conference, Kheda also alleged that the Chief Minister’s wife is reportedly holding a USA Golden Visa and possesses active foreign passports from Egypt and Antigua and Barbuda. He questioned whether holding multiple foreign affiliations by family members of a serving Chief Minister raises concerns related to national interest and transparency.

Kheda noted that India does not allow dual citizenship under current laws. He argued that any such situation involving foreign citizenship, residency privileges, or undisclosed international assets must be investigated thoroughly to ensure compliance with Indian legal provisions.

The Congress spokesperson urged central agencies to initiate an independent investigation into the allegations. He also called for full disclosure from the Assam Chief Minister to maintain public trust and accountability in governance.

The Assam Chief Minister or BJP leadership has not yet issued an official response to the allegations. Political reactions are expected as the issue gains national attention and calls for investigation intensify.
