Russia has officially introduced its much-anticipated fifth-generation stealth fighter jet, the SU-75 “Checkmate”, a cutting-edge combat aircraft designed to rival leading Western fighters like the F-35 and Rafale. Developed by United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) under the Rostec State Corporation, the SU-75 represents the nation’s renewed focus on next-generation air dominance, combining stealth, speed, and cost-effectiveness in one advanced platform.
The Checkmate’s most distinctive feature lies in its unique tail design, which enhances flight stability and maneuverability at both high and low speeds. Engineers have incorporated a V-shaped tail structure that not only reduces radar visibility but also offers better aerodynamic control, especially during sharp turns and complex air maneuvers. This innovative design makes the SU-75 more stable in air, ensuring precise control even under extreme operational conditions.
